Grand Budapest HotelYes 2014 is just slightly behind us now, but I had to give a quick review of movies that got the funny bone going in anticipation of new ones this year.  The entertainment industry was a beehive of activities in 2014 with a lot of new funny movies being produced.  Below are some of the funniest movies of 2014 which left viewers like me, in stitches.

Haunted Houses, Vampires & Hotels

A Haunted House 2

A Haunted House 2, is a film directed by Michael Tiddes and produced in late March of 2014 featuring Malcolm (Marlon Wayans). You will be taken in by the hilarious jokes expressed by Malcolm surrounding “white people” in his funny pitched scream. A movie that you’d watch time and again without missing the humor. You can watch this movie on Netflix now if you haven’t seen it yet.

Grand Budapest Hotel

Directed by Wes Anderson, Grand Budapest Hotel is a comedy of its kind. You will be thrilled by the hilarious concierge that runs away with a lobby boy after inheriting a treasured priceless painting which makes him to be the targeted by the deceased’s family. This movie was out early in the month of March and has since gained a lot of popularity owing to the hilarious characteristics of Ralph Fiennes that are superb.

The Vampire Academy

Not exactly an obvious critics choice or favorite, but for a different kind of funny, this movie was  it. The Vampire Academy featured on the list having been the best tailor-made satirical comedy for anybody who enjoys horrific comedies. You will be taken in by the creativity of Zoey Deutch (Rose Hathaway) and Lucy Fry (Lissa Dragonmir). The two 17-year-old school girls who found their lives jeopardized while attending a secret school for Moroi (peaceful Vampires). The eager desire to know what transpires will keep you glued to the screen.

The Lego

The Lego Movie happens to be one of the best surprises of 2014. It’s directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. An ordinary worker, in the Lego construction, believed to have been divinely appointed, joins the battle to stop a wicked tyrant from attaching the Lego fraternity into an eternal inactivity. The Lego is a movie that will leave you laughing from the first to the last minute. You can catch this movie on cable.
